Maitland is located in Orange County, Florida 6.5 miles north of Orlando. In July 2007 the U.S. Census Bureau estimated the population to be at 14,192 residents. Maitland is a city in Orange County, Florida, United States. The population was 12,019 at the 2000 census. As of 2006, the population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau is 14,172[1]. It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee Metropolitan Statistical Area.
